The Sony was instantly focused, while the Olympus was hunting more than once with this static object.
The image stabilisation and white balance is much better with the Sony. My walls and the ceiling is yellow.
The Sony captures visible more detail.
When the light go down it is the Olympus SZ-30MR time to shine

I do not know how much better (if at all) the Sony HX9V is in low light compared to the HX5 but for videos in low light conditions the Olympus is so much better then the HX5 - display included. The only problem is the white balance - the walls are white.
